John Burrows
John Eric Burrows (born 20.02.1950, Harare, Zimbabwe) is a retired botanist and horticulturist. He worked for 34 years managing a private nature reserve in Mpumalanga, during which time he wrote several books on plants and authored numerous scientific papers.
He now lives in Calitzdorp in the Western Cape with his wife Sandie and their two cats.
Sandie Burrows
Sandra (Sandie) is a trained horticulturist, an experienced field botanist, and one of South Africa's leading botanical illustrators.
Sandie has illustrated numerous scientific papers and illustrated and co-authored major works.

She works in pen and ink, coloured pencil, and has recently added graphite work to her skill set.
